Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 2026
Welcome to Activity Alibi! This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
1. Information We Collect
When you connect your Strava account and subscribe to Activity Alibi, we collect:
- Profile Information: Your Strava athlete ID, first name, last name, profile picture, and gender.
- Activity Data: When you upload an activity to Strava, we receive data about that activity, including the title, description, distance, moving time, activity type, and any existing comments.
- Account & Billing Identifiers: We store identifiers provided by Stripe (such as your Customer ID and Subscription ID) to manage your active status.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data strictly to provide the Activity Alibi service:
- To Generate Comments: We analyze your recent activities to generate personalized, context-aware comments and kudos from our AI personalities.
- To Provide Memory: We temporarily store a 30-day rolling history of your activities to give the AI context about your routine and baseline efforts. Activities older than 30 days are automatically deleted.
- Authentication: We use an essential, secure, HTTP-only cookie to keep you logged into your Activity Alibi dashboard.
3. Third-Party Services
We do not sell your data. We share your data only with essential third-party services required to operate Activity Alibi:
- Strava: We read your activity data from Strava and write comments/kudos back to Strava on behalf of our AI personalities.
- Google Cloud & Gemini: Your activity data is processed securely by Google's Gemini AI to generate the comments. Your data is not used by Google to train their foundational AI models.
- Stripe: All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card numbers or raw billing information on our servers.
4. Cookies
We use a single, essential session cookie to authenticate you when you log in via Strava and to secure your dashboard. Because this cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function, you cannot opt-out of it while using the service.
5. Data Deletion & Revoking Access
You can revoke Activity Alibi's access to your Strava account at any time via your Strava Settings (My Apps). If you cancel your subscription via the Billing Portal, we will cease processing your new activities.
